A man has been arrested and has appeared in court following an alleged attack in which a man needed plastic surgery.

Jason Haughey appeared at Letterkenny District Court today charged with assaulting causing harm to Darragh Harvey, 32.
The alleged incident happened outside Gallagher’s Hotel last April.
Harvey, who was home from America where he now lives, had to be hospitalised after the alleged incident.
Haughey was arrested by arrangement by Gardai outside Letterkenny Courthouse.
Inspector Michael Harrison told the court that more serious charges may come before the court shortly.
Haughey, who wore a dark tracksuit, did not speak during the brief hearing.
The accused was released on bail on the agreement that he sign on twice weekly at Letterkenny Garda station.
He will appear again in court on January 14th.
