More than 1,000 people put to to line today in the annual festive 5k run by Finn Valley Athletic Club.

Runners, joggers and walkers all took part in the fun event, with the race being won by Chris Johnston of Letterkenny AC and the first lady home was Olympian Catriona Jennings.

In the master section FVAC’s Kieran Carlin came home first in a time of 16.48.

It was a great turn-out – the biggest ever –  so race director Patsy McGonagle and his team Mark Connolly and Neil Martin can be well pleased.

We’ll have all the results a little later.
