DDTV VIDEO NEWS: A rare bird which has been seen just once in Donegal for more than 150 years has made a return.

Twitchers were over the moon when the Bittern was spotted at the Inch Island nature reserve in Inishowen today.

Bird watcher and photographer Martina Gardiner managed to capture this footage.

The Bittern was spotted last year for the first time in a century and a half. Its return this year has local twitchers very excited again.
