MAN ARRESTED IN RELATION TO ATTACK AND ROBBERY OF 96 YEAR OLD WOMAN

BREAKING NEWS: A man has been arrested in relation to the assault and robbery of a 96 year old woman at her home in Buncrana last weekend.A Ban Garda outside the house of Margaret Lilly.  (NewspixIrl)

Greta Lilly is still recovering at Letterkenny General Hospital after being punched in the ribs during the robbery at her home in Aghilly.

Gardai are remaining tight-lipped about the arrest which took place overnight.

The man who is being detained is 48 years of age and was arrested in Burt under the Criminal Justice Act.

No other details of the arrest have yet been released.

A spokesman for the Garda Press Office said they expect to issue a statement on the matter shortly.
