DONEGAL County Council gritters have spent the night salting many of the county’s main routes as temperatures fell to -5C in some inland areas.
Many roads are dangerous today and AA Ireland has issued a travel alert for motorists in Co Donegal.
Roads around Milford, Ramelton and Carrigart are particularly dangerous this morning.
Thick fog in many areas is also making driving dangerous.
Take care out there.
The cold nights are expected to continue right through the weekend.
