Lifford Celtic 4 Milford United 2

Played in heavy conditions at Greenbrae Park Lifford settled quickest and Damien Patton continued his good run of form when he scored after a through ball from Mark Neeson. Lifford doubled their advantage when Kevin Mc Brearty placed a free kick in the top corner. Milford responded immediately when their centre half got on the end of a free kick. Milford started the second half the brightest creating plenty of chances and should have drawn level. Milford eventually got their reward when PJ Hagan scored following a goal-mouth scramble with ten minutes remaining. That goal seemed to spark Lifford back to life as Mark Carlin went clear to cross for Damien Patton who had the easiest of headed finishes. Lifford grabbed their fourth, as Milford pressed, when Damien Patton and Kevin Mc Brearty combined down the left for Mc Brearty to finish from the edge of the box and seal the win. Best for Lifford was Seamie Gallagher. Best for Milford was PJ Hagan.
