The hugely successful Donegal Relay For Life raised more than €300,000 for the fight against cancer when it was staged in Letetrkenny last summer.

And now organisers of the event have confirmed that it is to take place again this year.

The 24 hour event, which saw fundraisers walk or jog around the LYIT centre, attracted huge crowds including none other than Daniel O’Donnell.

More than half of the money raised was spent directly on cancer services in Donegal while the remainder went into cancer research and services nationally.cwp040DL_Relay_life

A meeting of al those interested in taking part again this year including survivors and volunteers will be held on January 28th at 8pm in the Mount Errigal Hotel.
