soccer-ballRESULTS 12th JANUARY

UNDER 12 PREMIER DIVISION

Glencar 2 – 3 Kilmacrennan Celtic

FIXTURES SAT 19th JANUARY 10-30am KO

UNDER 12 PREMIER DIVISION

Ballyraine v Kilmacrennan Celtic

Letterkenny Rvs v Swilly Rovers

Dunfanaghy Yths v Bonagee United

Under 12 Premier Division

It looks like the titles going to any one of five teams. With six points separating these 5 teams Bonagee, Dunfanaghy , Kilmacrennan, Swilly and Ballyraine all have it to play for in the 2nd half of the season. Next week 4 of the top 5 teams are playing each other. First play Second as Dunfanaghy at home could share the spoils with unbeaten Bonagee. Fifth place Ballyraine need to get a result against 3rd place Kilmacrennan to keep them in the hunt. Also Swilly need to keep all 3 points at home to Letterkenny to stay in touch. At this younger age group, consistency is the key but no one can predict the eventual winners as on any given day, any team is capable of beating each other.

FIXTURES SAT 19th JANUARY

Bonagee United v Swilly Rovers

Glencar v Ballyraine United

Illistrin United v Kilmacrennan Celtic

UNDER 14 PREMIER DIVISION

With Illistrin United having nine wins out of nine, followed closely by Swilly Rovers and Bonagee United. It seems that the league winners and the two Champions league spots will be decided by the above three teams unless Glencar can have a great run in the 2nd half of the season. The big game next week is Swilly away to Bonagee where the home side will need to take points of Swilly.

RESULTS 12th JANUARY

UNDER 16 PREMIER DIVISION

Swilly Rovers 3 – 1 Lagan Harps

Dunfanaghy Yths 2 – 2 Bonagee United

Illistrin United 7 – 1 Bonagee Tigers

FIXTURES SAT 19th JANUARY

Illistrin United v Dunfanaghy Yths

Swilly Rovers v Bonagee United

UNDER 16 PREMIER DIVISION

As you can see from the below table, and because of players sitting their Junior Cert Exams this year and the Champions League starting in February. The under 16 Division is almost at an end. With only eight matches in the league, it looks like (same as last year) as far as title contenders are concerned as only Letterkenny or Swilly can win it. Bonagee could still sneak a Champions league spot if Swilly fail to win any of their remaining 3 games which incidentally are against Letterkenny, Illistrin and next week Bonagee. Big Match this week is Swilly at home to Bonagee.

FIXTURES W/E 20th JANUARY

UNDER 12 RESERVE DIVISION

Dunfanaghy Blues v Swilly Ramblers

UNDER 12 RESERVE DIVISION

Another close league with Cappry Crusaders from East Donegal leading the pack, followed by three teams who are still in contention, Glencar Hammers, Letterkenny Crusaders and Dunfanaghy Blues. As Ballyare Diamonds pulled out of the reserve league, the league tables were corrected and now have only seven matches left to play.

UNDER 14 RESERVE DIVISION

Manor Town have also pulled out due to lack of players so the league has been updated and it’s a two horse race between Glencar Hammers and Bonagee Tigers for the title. And with only four games left, it looks like it’s going to the wire.
