Lotto & 100+ Club
There was no winning sequence in this weeks Lotto but the winner of the lucky dip was Margaret O’Neill who wins €30. Next weeks Lotto jackpot is €1,500. Thanks to all for their continued support of the weekly Lotto. The Lotto sellers in the coming weeks are: 19th January – Tommy McGlinchey, 26th January – Gerard McColgan, 2nd February – Samuel Patterson and 9th February – Liam Kelly.
Names are now being taken for the 100+ Club for the coming year. New members are welcome to join. Weekly cash prizes and entry into our end of season draw are just some of the incentives for 100+ Club members. Please contact any executive member should you wish to join up. Existing members should get in contact with their promoter.
All 100+ Club promoters should have their names for this year in by the next club meeting on 22nd January.
Membership
Just a reminder to all that adult membership for 2013 is now due. Adult membership costs €30 per person and there is a special concession rate of €50 for couples (an adult and their partner/husband/wife). All players must pay their membership before any games commence. Membership should be paid to club Registrar Eamonn Kelly who can be contacted on (087) 2942974.
There will be a registration night for all adult and underage players & members in the coming weeks. Exact details yet to be confirmed.
Senior Ladies Team Manager
Any club member interested in managing the Senior Ladies for the 2013 season should get in contact with club chairman Andy Doherty on (087) 6843311 as soon as possible.
All Ireland Painting
The club has a special limited edition hand painted picture of Michael Murphy lifting the Sam Maguire and this is currently on display in Bradleys shop. Lines are still on sale at €2 each to enter the draw for this great prize.
Minor Board
There is still a coaching vacancy remaining for the U16 Girls team. Anyone interested in coaching this team should contact Stephen Gallagher on (087) 2054484.
The coaching workshop planned for this Tuesday has now been postponed but will go ahead in early February with exact date to be confirmed. This is on the topic ‘Getting Fit For Sport’. This years minor panel are asked to attend along with all underage coaches. Anyone else who wishes to attend contact Stephen Gallagher on (087) 2054484. Spaces are limited to 40 persons.
All parents and guardians should be aware that a new rule came has come into force from GAA headquarters making it mandatory to use a mouth guard in all matches and training sessions from the beginning of 2013. This is for all underage grades up to and including minor. It should be noted that players will not be allowed to play without mouth guards so it is now an essential part of a players kit. More details on this will follow in the coming weeks.
Club Meeting
The next club meeting will take place this Tuesday 22nd January at 8.30pm in the clubhouse.
Clubhouse Open for Activities
The upstairs room in the clubhouse is currently available for use for any classes/activities (for example zumba, pilates etc). Times are flexible and reasonable rates apply. Anyone interested in using these excellent facilities should contact Andy Doherty on (087) 6843311 for more details.
