It’s one of Donegal’s biggest pantomimes and it’s back with a bang.Aladdin

The Buncrana Pantomime Society are busy preparing for Aladdin which runs from January 20th until February 2nd at St.Mary’s Hall.

The group took a break last year form performing but producer Willie Doherty has promised a special run of performances this year.

No less than 50 adults and 80 children from Buncrana and the surrounding areas will take part in the production.

Producer Doherty said “We’re pulling out all the stops and a lot of work is going into this year’s show.

“We’re enjoying rehearsals but it’s hard work and the cast and crew are already giving it their all.

“The way things are shaping up it’s going to be a great run and there’s going to be great craic.”

Among those threading the boards will be Maureen Tolley (Aladdin), Leanne McCarron (Princess Jasmin), Eunan McConnell (Lola), Eddie Murphy (Flo), Brendan Fletcher (Sultan), Mark McLaughlin (Jafar), Donal Kearney (Jeanie) and Aoife McConnell (the Desert Queen).

Tickets are selling fast so people are advised to contact the booking office to get those tickets for performances of side-splitting good humour.
