GAA: NAOMH CONAILL GAA CLUB NEWS

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 4,9,24 and 30. Two prizes of €50 went to Bridie Doherty Mill Road Glenties and Mary Mc Mahon Fintown. Next weeks jackpot is €4,900.

The U21 team will play the winners of Ballinderry (Co Derry) or St Patricks Donagh (Co Fermanagh) in the U21 Ulster Club Championship quarter final on Sunday 10th February at 2.15pm.

There will be a basic coaching course in St Nauls Clubhouse on the 18th January 7-10.30pm and 19th January 9.30am-4.30pm. It is important that anyone involved with any team this year that they have this course done. There will also be a level 1 coaching course in Donegal Town on 15th/16th February and 22nd/23rd February. Anyone interested in doing any of these courses can contact Martin Regan on 086 1020471 for more information.

From 1st January it was made compulsory to use a mouthguard in all gaelic football matches and training sessions for all underage teams up to and including minor. Mouthguards are available from a number of different outlets. For further information see the Southern Regional GAA Board on the Donegal GAA Website.

The clubs reconvened AGM was held last Sunday. Thanks to all who attended. The following are the club officers that were elected for 2013. President Leo Mc Loone, Chairperson Peter Mc Kelvey, Vice Chairperson Martin Shankey Smith, Secretary Vincent Cranley, Assistant Secretary Carol Gibbons, Finance Committe Patrick Mc Guigan, Martin Regan, Brian Carr, Joe Mc Closkey, Brendan Mc Dyre, Brendan O Donnell, Poggy O Donnell, Leo Mc Loone, John Molloy, Patsy Furey. PRO Eunan Mc Glinchey and Muriel Hegarty,Registar Muriel Hegarty, Childrens Officer David Kelch, Players representative Brendan Mc Dyre,Coaching officer Martin Regan. The following were appointed underage managers for the coming year. U8 Pat Ward,U10 to be appointed, U12 Martin Shankey Smith, U13 Hughie Mc Gill, U14 Martin Regan, U16 Seosamh Mc Kelvey and U18 Leo Mc Loone.

Membership for 2013 is now available. Membership for adults is €40 and €20 for youths. The closing date for membership is 31st March.

The clubs Last Man Standing starts on Saturday 2nd February.Entry forms are now available.€10 to enter.
