Ecumenical Service
This years ecumenical service will be held in St. Mary’s Church, Kincasslagh on 20th January at 4.00 p.m. There will be tea and refreshments in the Parochial Hall afterwards. If anyone would like to drop along some home baking, the Hall will be opened from 2.30 p.m. on Sunday.

If you are clearing out old clothes, bed linen, belts, etc. please consider putting them in the clothes bin outside the school. We would really appreciate it, as the income generated is needed for the running of the school nowadays.

Addiction – What about the Family?
White Oaks Rehabilitation Centre is holding a one day support programme for those affected by another’s addiction. Looking at the effects of addiction on you and your family and improve the quality of your life.
This programme is for you if you are aged 16 and over; your family is suffering from the strain of a loved one’s addiction; a friend is struggling with addiction and you want to know how to help; you have questions about addiction and need honest answers about treatment and recovery

Burtonport Kincasslagh Community Alert
The next meeting of the Burtonport Kincasslagh Community Alert group will be held on Monday evening 21st January at 8.00 p.m. in St. Columba’s Community Centre, Burtonport. The grant for panic buttons has been reinstated for those eligible. Please contact Ann Sweeney, district nurse or Tess at 074 9543181 or Pat at 086 8163936.
The panic Button is an excellent piece of kit that allows communication with the outside world in the event of an intrusion, or a fall, or feeling ill. Many people have been saved by simply having one on their person. Sadly, others could have been saved but didn’t wear it when it was needed. It provides security and peace of mind for people and their families. For some reason many people resist having one. This may be because they feel they are not at a point where they would need it yet. It is better to have one and not need it, than to not have one and need it. Please consider it as a possibility for you, or for someone you know living alone.
