St.Eunan's CathedralNEWSLETTER – ST EUNAN’S – Sunday 20th January 2013

Second Sunday in Ordinary Time

To celebrate the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity there will be an ECUMENICAL SERVICE this evening, Sunday 20th January in St. Eunan’s Cathedral at 7.30 pm.

‘I invite everyone to pray, ceaselessly asking God for the great gift of unity among the disciples of the Lord. May the inexhaustible power of the Holy Spirit encourage us in a sincere commitment to the search for unity, so that together we may all profess that Jesus is the Saviour of the world’.

Pope Benedict XVI.

CONVERSATIONS ABOUT GOD, FAITH AND FAMILY LIFE

Parents/Guardians do you ever wish you knew more about your faith or that you felt more confident talking to your children about God, faith and prayer? Maybe you have children preparing for First Holy Communion or Confirmation this year? Or perhaps you simply want to share your own faith more with your family?

Over six weeks in Lent from Tuesday 19th February until Tuesday 26th March there will be an opportunity to learn more about your Catholic faith. In a gentle and informal atmosphere you will be encouraged to explore your own experience of God, your beliefs and how faith and family life fit together. The course will take place in the Colmcille Rooms (above the Veritas shop on the Lower Main Street, Letterkenny) from 8 pm to 9.30 pm, and is run by Bairbre Cahill the Diocesan Resource Worker. Places will be limited so please phone the Pastoral Centre to book on 9121853 or email diocesanpclk@eircom.net We invite a donation of €20 to cover the course but please don’t let that stop you coming along if finance is a problem.

Please REMEMBER to always keep your dog on a lead when visiting graveyards.
