Three young men were arrested last night after a car-jacking in Inishowen.GARDA LOGO 3

A terrified motorist was pulled from his car just before 7pm in the Muff area.

The incident happened after a man walked out into the middle of the road and stopped a car.

When the driver stopped, he was pulled from his car and the car was taken in the Aught Road area.

However the car later crashed.

Three young men were arrested near the scene and taken to both Letterkenny and Buncrana Garda stations.

One of the men was taken to Letterkenny General Hospital for treatment.

The car-jacking comes just a day after three men crashed a car into the Chilli Shaker restaurant in Letterkenny.

Considerable damage was caused to the exterior of the building on the town’s Pearse Road.

Three men in the car fled the scene of the incident which happened just before 7am on Friday.

Gardai seized the car for forensic examinations and are looking for help in finding the driver.

It is not thought that the incidents are connected.
