25TH Anniversary of Mullaghduff Marching Band
This St Patricks Day marks the 25th Anniversary of the present day Mullaghduff Band, the committee are presently organising some events to celebrate this great milestone. Over the past decade or so the tradition of the Marching Bands has declined and it a great achievement for the community of Mullaghduff that this band has fielded every year since its inception.
As many members are away and may not be able to be here on St.Patricks Day we hope to have two separate events – on St.Patricks Day we are inviting any past members available to join in the band for a day of reunion,( more details to follow) and then at the August Bank Holiday Weekend they plan to have a gathering of all past Junior Mullaghduff Bands with events based in Mullaghduff over that wend. This includes establishing a museum of memorabilia from all the Bands to display in the Mullaghduff Community Centre. We are asking all previous band members and committee members to contact us as soon as possible to let us know if they are available on either of these two wends or for both. Anyone who has photos or any memorabilia we could use should contact us as soon as possible. The Committee would also appeal to anyone with Flutes or Uniforms who no longer require them to return them asap to help facilitate the reunion.
