Congratulations to Portsalon’s new club captain Joe Harkin, club President Kathleen McCormick and lady captain Deirdre Hensey, on their drive-in last Sunday, and best wishes to the trio for their year ahead.
Although their year may have started on a damp and cool Sunday in February, I’m sure it won’t be long before things heat up and the sun comes out on another busy and successful year at Portsalon GC.
Meanwhile at Otway, after a quiet start to 2013, it’s time to get down to business with the club AGM taking place on Friday 22nd February in the clubhouse at 8pm sharp.
As this is the most important meeting of the club during the year, and indeed the only meeting that members are asked to attend, it is imperative that as many members attend as possible.
The meeting is about planning for the continued enjoyment of the course for all, in the year ahead, so members should make an effort to take part in electing new officers to their positions, and have their say on any issues affecting the running of the club.
