A man seriously injured during a burglary at a Letterkenny house has appeared in court again.

Jason Haughey, with an address at Rosemount, Kilmacrennan but originally from Letterkenny, had to be heped into Letterkenny District Court on crutches.

Haughey, 22, had to receive hospital treatment recently after breaking into a house at Glencar on February 4th last.haughey

It is understood an altercation took place and Haughey received numerous injuries.

He was previously charged with two charges of trespassing at two different locations in Letetrkenny.

He appeared again this morning on crutches with injuries to his face and a cast on his leg.

Haughey also faces a number of other separate charges including assault causing harm.

The court was told Haughey, who was wearing dark tracksuit, is due to see an Orthopedic surgeon at Letterkenny General Hospital today for his injuries.

Haughey’s solicitor said there had been a mix-up in Haughey’s paperwork and asked for the case to be adjourned until next Monday.

Judge Paul Kelly agreed and remanded Haughey in custody until then.
