Exclusive: AN HISTORIC Co Donegal cottage has been put on the market with a reserve price of just €25k in the latest distressed property auction in the county.
The charming and partly refurbished two bedroom roadside thatched cottage in in the townland of Drumaweir, Greencastle, is known as Charlie Brown’s.
Estate agents have included it in an auction next month and say the sale provided “an ideal opportunity for those in search of an older style property offering something different to the norm.”
Located on the immediate outskirts of Greencastle amenities including beaches, golf courses are within easy reach as is the ferry terminal.
Dean Spencer from Sherry Fitzgerald Rainey told Donegal Daily: “Having been extremely successful with our Public Auctions in 2012 we will be commencing our 2013 Auctions in March.
“We also have a number of other properties being prepared for sale by Public Auction possibly later in March.”
Other properties on the market include a two-bedrrom apartment at Westside, Lower Main Street, Letterkenny, a three bedroom house in Carndonagh for €77k.
And the biggest shock of all – a massive nine-bedroom house located at Inch Road Burnfoot for €75,000. That property is pictures below.
