The Swilly Group has been shortlisted for three awards at this year’s CILT Irish Transport and Logistics Awards.

The company itself has been shortlisted for the Communications Award and the Education Award whereas Damian Kerin, Sales and Delivery Manager, has been shortlisted for the Future Achiever Award.

Brian Sweeney Managing Director of the Swilly Group said “This is recognition of the hard work done by every member of the Swilly Group team who provide an excellent service to the Transport industry week in week out”.

“We have received a number of awards over the last few years but we are especially delighted to be considered for the Irish Transport and Logistics awards as it is recognition by the industry that we serve”.

Brian continues, “Furthermore, when you look at who else has been shortlisted in the same categories, it is a measure of how the Swilly Group has developed and grown as a company over the last few years”. “We are up against the Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) for the Education award and companies such as Bus Eireann and the Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) for the Communications Award”.

Brian also congratulated Sales and Delivery Manager Damian Kerin who has been short listed in the Future Achiever Award.

“Damian has done some excellent work for the Swilly Group since joining us a number of years ago.

“Working for the Swilly Group, he did an excellent job of organising the Bus Driver of the Year competition at the RDS on behalf of the Coach Tourism and Transport Council of Ireland and this has been acknowledged by his nomination.”

The Swilly Group would also like to congratulate Aidan Robb at Cargo Defenders. The Letterkenny based company has been shortlisted for the Innovation in Action Award.

“We wish Aida and his team success on the night”.

The winners of the awards will be announced at the prestigious awards dinner on Thursday, March 21st at the Burlington Hotel, Dublin, and will be hosted by broadcaster, journalist and economic pundit Richard Curran.
