Drumkeen Children’s Playground

After many enquiries and representations from local residents and the play group with regard to erecting a play ground for kids in the parish, Councillor Cora Harvey has been actively pursuing this issue and is appealing to local land owners who feel they may have an appropriate site to contact her. You can contact Cora in the local constituency office in Ballybofey on 074 9130899.

Councillor Harvey is working with DCC in relation to funding, but land acquisition is the first priority.

 

St. Mary’s GAA

Bingo continues in the Hall on Tues @8.30. Lotto results for 12/02/13 OY,WH,KK,KE. Michelle Molloy, Evelyn Breen, Ballybofey, Mary Patton, Drumkeen & Clodagh Young Convoy.

Anyone wishing to buy or sell lottos contact any committee member

Registration is now due and must be paid by the 26th March by 6 pm to be in with a chance to get tickets for Donegal v Tyrone Game Adults €30 and Minors €3 Contact Julia Blake on 0862 611290 Sam Will be at the St Mary’s Clubhouse on March 07th for anyone looking for photographs. All welcome to come along from 6:30pm

 

 

Drumkeen Youth Club

Youth Club this Fri 22nd Feb from 7:30-9:30pm. Adult Leaders Aidan Guthrie, Claire Gallen. Next instalment of hoody money now due. Plans are well advanced for our Easter quiz, more info in the coming weeks.

Tyrconnel Martyrs Flute Band.

Well done to the local band who took 3rd place in the flute band competition in Strabane, a great achievement , practice as usual in the hall every Tuesday at 7.00pm. All new members welcome.

 

Old School Reunion

The next meeting of the Drumkeen Old School Reunion is this Thurs 21st Feb in the hall @ 8pm.

 

Parish Committee

Fund Raising Dance

A dance will take place in aid of “Inis Aoibhinn Cancer Care West” Co. Galway on Fri 01st March 2013 in the Millview Inn Stranorlar. Music by Trevor Loughrey. The tickets are available by phoning the Millview on 086 832 8593 or 087 669 8178 and are priced at a very reasonable €5. Please come along and support this very worthy cause. Spot prizes and buffet on the night.

 

FIBROMYALGIA DONEGAL SUPPORT GROUP

Holding monthly meetings for people living with the Chronic Pain Condition Fibromyalgia. We hold monthly meetings – 1st Wed of the month in Letterkenny & 1st Fri of the month in Stranorlar.

Also morning meetings may be run in Ballybofey on a Friday – if this is of interest to you, please get in contact.

New members always welcome – why not come along for a cuppa and a chat.
