Eamon McGeeDONEGAL players had a starring role as Ulster overcame Munster by a single point in the Martin Donnelly inter-provincial semi-final today.

The northerners ran out winners by 1-14 to 1-13.

Ulster had a storming first half, which was reflected in the score at the break 1-11 to 0-06, Tyrone’s Martin Penrose finding the net before Donegal’s Eamonn McGee scored a lovely point.

Sean Cavanagh also had a great first half, playing well off McHugh.

Within moments of the re-start Munster began their comeback with Donnacha O’Connor netting from a penalty.
