Brendan with his salmonA CO DONEGAL man is the toast of anglers on the country’s top salmon river.

The River Moy in Co Mayo attracts fishermen from all over the world, drawn to its beauty and its bounty.

But it was Donegal man Brendan McMenamin who landed the first salmon of the new 2013 fishing season.

His fish weighed in at just over 5lbs.
