The scene of the latest accident in Carrigans

RESIDENTS in Carrigans are demanding an investigation after the fourth road crash in a week at the same spot in the village.

The latest crash on Saturday evening saw one man suffer slight injuries.

But locals say the road surface in the area near the crash has been slippy for weeks.

“All the accidents happened in the same area,” one resident told Donegal Daily.

“It was dry at the time and it has been dry all week but there have been four crashes on that same road in the past seven or eight days.

“We’ve asked the county council to come out and see if they can find out what is causing the slippery surface.”
