DDTV: DOWNINGS singer Shane McLaughlin is through to the lives shows of TV’s The Voice.
Shane took on Ballyfermot teacher Philip Kennedy (22) in tonight’s Battle on The Voice on RTE1.
“It was very surreal getting to the battle stages,” said Shane.
Mentor Kian Egan said he was torn between both singers; with some of the coaches saying Philip had outshone Shane.
The singers performed the song ‘Drive By’ by the band Train – and Kian went for Shane after saying he felt Philip was more suited to the West End stage.
