A POST mortem will take place at Letterkenny General Hospital today on the remains of a mother found dead in an apartment in the town on Saturday.
Frances Barrett, 49, was a much loved mother of three who lived in Kerrykeel but was originally form Tamney.
Originally from the Fanad area, Mrs Barrett’s husband Liam died in a tragic traffic accident more than ten years ago.
Gardai sealed off the flat off Lower Main Street in Letterkenny on Saturday.
A full forensic examination of the scene took place.
Garda Superintendent Eugene McGovern said officers couldn’t say how Mrs Barrett died.
A pathologist will carry out an examination of her body later today.
