ATHLETICS NEWS: ROSSES AC NOTES

There were a total of 96 athletes from the local schools taking part in the Donegal Primary Schools Sportshall Athletic Finals. Highlights of the day were victories for scoil Anagaire pair Mia McDevitt and Aoise Willoughby in the 1+1 Lap relay, Caoimhe Ni Bhaoill and Aoise Willoughby in the 2+2 Lap relay. A fine victory for the Scoil Rann na Feirsde, Keadue, Roshine team of Olivia Boyle, Saoirse Boyle, Claudia Friel and Roisin Rodgers in the 4 by 1 lap relay.

There were also many fine performances in the field events. Well done to all. Check facebook page for some great photos.

Please note that there is a change of time for the start of the upcoming 5k in the Spring Series planned for Sunday 24th March. Registration will be in the Donegal Airport from 1:30pm with race starting at 2:30pm. There will also be a 1k for primary school children. Entry will be 5 euro for adults and 1 euro for children doing 1k. Post race presentation and refreshments in the Airport.

A number of athletes competed in Bundoran at the weekend and there were some impressive performances. Last call for Registrations are now due for all club members. For additional information contact Ita Gallagher or any committee member to get registered. 15 euro per child, 20 euro per adult and maximum fee of 40 euro per family. Forms also available on facebook page.
