When caretaker Charlie Kane says jump, it’s usually the pupils of Glenswilly National School who follow orders.

Charlie Kane is taking a 10,000 ft leap of faith!

But in a few short weeks, the much-loved school-caretaker will be the one taking the leap of faith.

That’s because Charlie, along with teachers Andrew Burns and Martin Greene have agreed to take part in a charity parachute jump.

The three amigos are undertaking the task to raise funds for their school and for the Donegal Hospice.

The jump takes place on Saturday, May 18th and the sponsorship cards are literally (pardon the pun) flying out the door.

Cheeky Charlie is taking all the fuss in his stride despite his 10,000 ft jump.

“Sure there’s only one way down,” Charlie told Donegal Daily.

Mr Burns and Mr Greene are believed to be already taking survival lessons in case they come down in enemy territory anywhere north of Churchill!

Anybody looking to sponsor the lads or take a sponsorship card can contact Charlie directly on 086 3891846 or Glenswilly NS on 07491 37342.

Now there’s only only thing to say to the lads – break a leg!
