Donegal from space today; tweeted by Canadian astronaut
MORE than 500,000 people around the world were today treated to a picture of Donegal from space!
That’s how many followers Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield has.
“Donegal, one of the many famous places I’ve only seen from space,” said Chris today as he tweeted this picture.
He also tweeted a picture of Inishowen and Derry before he went one better and recorded a version of ‘Danny Boy’, the ballad traditionally set to the Irish tune, ‘Derry Air’, in honour of St Patrick’s Day.
