Lotto & 100+ Club

There was no jackpot winning sequence in this weeks Lotto draw but Ryan Scanlon matched 3 numbers to win €50. Numbers drawn were 7,4,6,8,5,1,2,3. Next weeks Lotto jackpot is €1,950. The Lotto sellers in the coming weeks are: 23rd March – Cathal Doherty, 30th March – Tony Gallagher, 6th April – Paddy Kelly and 13th April – Barry Bradley.

 

The winner of the 100+ Club draw this week was Patricia Callaghan, Tiernisk who wins €100. Thanks to all for their continued support of the weekly Lotto & 100+ Club.

 

The winners of the players draws held this week were Pauric McMenamin, James McMenamin, Damien Browne and John Sweeney.

 

Adult / Underage Registration Evening

There will be a final opportunity for all to pay their membership before the deadline this Friday 22nd March at the clubhouse from 7.30 to 8.30pm. Adult membership costs €30 per person with a concession rate of €50 for couples (an adult and their partner/husband/wife). Underage registration costs €10 per child or a maximum of €20 for a family. New members are very welcome to join the club. All players must have membership paid before taking part in games

 

Seniors & Reserves

The Division 3 league season commences for both teams on Easter weekend the 30th/31st March with away fixtures against Naomh Padraig, Lifford. Training continues this week at the usual times.

 

Minor Board

The minor team had no game at the weekend. They are fixed to play Burt at home next Sunday the 24th March at 12.00 Noon. Best of luck to the lads.

 

Underage training for girls and boys (U6, U8, U10) continues this Saturday at 11.00am. New players of any age are always welcome and can register at training. U12 boys training is also on this Saturday now starting at 11.00am. All players should attend and new players are still welcome. Players are now required to wear gumshields at all training sessions and games.

 

St Patrick Weekend Day of Culture

A big thank you to all who helped out at our ‘Day of Culture’ held on Saturday last and especially Bill Meehan for the very enjoyable Ceili. Congratulations to the winners of the traditional games: Welly Throwing – U10 Girls: Jane Catterson, U10 Boys: Luke Doherty, Senior: Samuel Patterson; Horseshoe – Junior Girls: Madison White, Junior Boys: Jack Doherty. A fun day was had by all and we hope to see everyone back next year!

 

Back of the Wall 5K Challenge

This years ‘Back of the Wall Challenge’ will take place on Sunday 21st April.

 

Leaving Cert Grinds

There are still places available for the Leaving Cert Maths and English courses at Easter. The course will be held in the clubhouse with Maths (Ordinary Level) on 28th March and English on 2nd April. Please contact Marie McColgan on (086) 3242100. This opportunity is available to all students sitting their Leaving Cert in 2013. There is a small fee of 10 euro per course. Lunch will be provided.

 

Congratulations

Congratulations to senior player Sean Sweeney and Maranna McCloskey who got married at the weekend and best wishes to them for the future.

 

Sympathy

Sympathy is extended to the Byrne family, Corlea; the Taylor family, Carrickshandrum and the McGinty family, Corefrin on their recent sad bereavements.
