Gardai have sealed off an area of Falcarragh Main Street after the attack

BREAKING NEWS: A man is fighting for his life in a Dublin hospital after being attacked on Falcarragh’s Main Street during St.Patrick’s night celebrations.

It is understood there was an altercation and one man, who is aged 47, was attacked just before 12.30am.

The man is a well-known local man.

He was rushed to Letterkenny General Hospital but has since been transferred to Dublin.

No arrests have yet been made.

Garda Inspector Michael Harrison has appealed for witnesses to the incident to contact them.

“One man suffered a serious injury following an incident in Falcarragh last night.

“At this stage we are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.”

The area has been sealed off as a Garda forensics team carry out a full investigation into the incident.
