FIANNA FAIL COUNCILLOR POCKETS €50K IN EUROMILLIONS DRAW

Brendan ByrneA FIANNA FAIL county councillor has won almost €50,000 in the EuroMillions lottery.

Former Donegal Mayor Brendan Byrne scooped the cash in Tuesday night’s draw – where the jackpot was worth €100Million!

Cllr Byrne was one of two Irish players who pocketed €49,796 in the draw, matching all five main numbers – but failing to get up either of the two lucky star numbers.

The councillor bought his ticket in the Spar Texaco station just outside Donegal Town.
