MATCH REPORTS

U14      League        Result                                                   Drumkeen  Utd 2  Vs  Raphoe Town  1

 

This  game was played in freezing condition with snow falling & a bitter wind blowing, a credit to both teams the game was played..

Drumkeen were missing a few players due to injury but went into the lead after 12 minutes when a shoot by Kennedy was well saved by the Raphoe keeper but the ball fell to Ryan Gallagher and he finished well. the home team lost the serveries of P Dolan due to a injury , the team manager had to make early changes  bringing in u12 player Jason mc Daid.& Paddy Quinn, Conor Bonner, P J Mc Daid.Drumkeen  went two goals  after 25 minutes the same circumstances when Gallagher found himself  unmarked 12yds out  to score his second. Two nil at half time to the home side. Raphoe came more into the game in the second half  but found the   home defence  playing well Raphoe tried hard and got a deserved equaliser when a shot from the edge of the penalty area by K Bogle  went into the top corner given the home keeper no chance. J Duffy should  have made it three for the home team but his shot went narrowly wide,J mc Daid had another good  chance which the Raphoe keeper saved well . A credit to both teams they both tryed hard under very testing overhead conditions .

 

 

 

U18 Colin  Breslin Cup Semi Final

 

Result  Drumkeen0 Vs Rosses Acdm 2

 

This game kicked under very  cold windey conditions both teams had chances but failed to score in the first half .Drumkeen looked a bit rusty as the have not played  in the last 4 weeks.Oisin Meritt  and Leon Boyle   playing well  in defence, Lee Guthrie, Aaron Doherty, in midfield ,and Gerard Bonner, and Travis Lafferty working hard up front.  Half Time o-o. In the second half Rosses prove the stronger team scoring twice with goals from David Mc Carrey on 70 minutes and   Ryan Green on 80 minutes, Rosses going through to the final
