This is the scene as a massive recovery operation gets underway in West Donegal.

Traffic diversions are in place on the main n56 road between Loughanure and Dungloe at present where two cranes are trying to lift a 40ft truck that was blow off the road in storm force winds late on Friday night.

No one was injured.

The truck, owned by a local haulage company, is lying on its side just about 100 meters from a lake on a bend in the townland of Ardcrone.

Traffic is being diverted via Ardcrone on both sides but rejoining the n56 again on either side of the crash scene.
