DONEGAL escaped the worst of the wintry weather blasting eastern Ulster, but the biting cold is set to continue – right through to Easter.
Forecasters say temperatures could fall as low as -7C later this week, making it the coldest end to March in Donegal in years.
Irish Weather Online is reporting that the cold blast will continue – with snow affecting north Leinster and east Ulster right through until Good Friday.
And with the Siberian weather system from the east still dominating over the Gulf Stream, the cold weather will continue – although it will be mainly dry in Donegal, there will be severe frosts all week.
So be careful on the roads.
