A number of long-serving teachers recently retired from their schools and were honoured by their fellow workers.

Betty McIntyre and Mary Mulligan recently retired from teaching in Colaiste Colmcille, Ballyshannon, were honoured at a special function organised by the Teachers Union of Ireland in Castlegrove House in Letterkenny.

Among other teachers who were also honoured included David Mulhern and Harry Reid  from Glenties Comprehensive School, who were honoured at a special function organised by the Teachers Union of Ireland in Castlegrove House, Letterkenny.
