KILCAR singer – and top man all round – Rory Gallagher has been asked to re-write his Donegal anthem ‘Jimmy’s Winning Matches’ – in honour of snooker legend Jimmy White.
Rory – now running The Island bar in Lanzarote – said on his Facebook Page today: “I have been asked by a production team from ITV to re-write “Jimmy’s Winning Matches” for a documentary they are doing on the great snooker player Jimmy White!
“What a mad world!
“I used to love watching Jimmy White and Hurricane Higgins on the old grundig TV at my granny’s in Killybegs in the 1980s, she would be delighted!”
