Anyone who attended the Luminaria or Candle of Hope Ceremony at last year’s Relay for Life Donegal will fully appreciate how emotional this was for those present.Relay for Life Donegal. Photo:- Clive Wasson

Thousands of candles lined the track and, at dusk, each was lit and the ensuing light shone in remembrance of all those loved ones gone before us or those still fighting their battle against cancer.

The candles burned throughout the night and inspired all the brave walkers to keep going during the long night hours.
