fish killINSPECTORS from Inland Fisheries Ireland have arrived in the past hour to investigate claims of a massive fish kill on the Eany River.

Hundreds of salmon and trout have been wiped out in the incident near Frosses, according to local anglers.

“Officers are investigating the cause of a fish kill on the Eany,” said one angler today.

It’s understood the incident may have been caused by pollution from an outflow pipe further upstream.
