MENS FOOTBALLMalin GAA

After our dramatic injury time win v N. Conaill on Sunday, things don’t get much easier as we welcome Senior Champions St Eunans to Connolly Park on Friday evening and then face a long trek to the west of the county to take on Gweedore on Sunday. Our victory on Sunday, against a N Conaill side which featured at least half a dozen players who have represented Donegal within the last few years has sent shockwaves throughtout the county. Two wins from our opening 2 games have made more of the more fancied sides in the league sit up and take notice, and judging on our performances to date, no side can afford to take our lads lightly.

A very much depleted reserve side were no match for the N Conaill counterparts losing out on a scoreline of 0-5 2-11.

Ladies Football training continues on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8pm to 9pm.

GIRLS FOOTBALL

Training for the Under 14/16 girls continues at 5:15pm on Wednesdays. Last Friday saw the U16 girls being defeated against a stronger Urris side.

BOYS FOOTBALL

Training continues for the Under 6 age group in the club, gym on Sunday mornings from 10 to 11-15. The sessions are based on GAA Fundamentals; a Croke Park initiative based on research aimed at bettering your child’s coordination (including hand eye) balance, agility and basic fitness in a fun filled environment. It is also an introduction into the basic skills of Gaelic games. All children are welcome to attend.

Training for the Under 8 age group takes place in the club gym from 11 to 12-30 on Sunday mornings also in the club.

This is followed by training for the Under 10 age group, which runs from 12.30 to 1.30.

Under 14s take on N. Colmcille in Newton on Wednesday evening. They opened their Northern Board League campaign with a victory over Red Hughs and played out a entertaining draw v Carndonagh last week.

Under 14 training continues on Monday from 5-6 and on Thursday from 4.30 to 6.00.
