DONEGAL singer Gráinne Gavigan thanked her fans today after she finished second in the final of the Glór Tíre country music singing competition on TG4 last night.
The 18-year old Ardara singer, mentored by Lisa McHugh, gave a stunning performance in the final show broadcast from Galway.
Supporters had been voting in their thousands for the teenager.
Said Gráinne: “I was delighted to have reached the final and I would like to thank everyone who has voted for me throughout the competition. It was just amazing.”
A spokeswoman for the show said: “We are very proud of our truly talented finalist Gráinne Gavigan. A dream to work with, to mentor and most of all to call a great friend.
“You don’t have to win to be a winner or successful and I know this will definitely be the case for Grainne’s future!”
