VICTORY! SHANE THROUGH TO FINAL OF ‘THE VOICE OF IRELAND’

Shane McLaughlinBREAKING NEWS: DONEGAL singer Shane McLaughlin is through to the final of RTE’s ‘The Voice of Ireland’.

Shane had taken on the Def Leppard hit ‘Pour Some Sugar On Me’ – and there’s little doubt it was his best performance of the series.

Certainly his brother Father Eamonn, a curate at St Eunan’s Cathedral, thought so as he was pictured with a beaming smile in the crowd (with Bishop Boyce watching back at the Bishop’s House in Letterkenny apparently!)

At the judging stage Jamelia had given Shane just 6 points, insisting his performance was ‘just above average’.

But Bressie and Sharon thought Downings man Shane was good on the night – giving him his highest scores yet – 8 points each.

And Kian urged: “Come on Donegal – get out and vote.”

Well it appears he was getting votes from throughout the country as he was voted through first in the vote.

Shane’s team-mate in Team Kian, Kelly, was also voted through.

Go Shane!
