Gardai have appealed for help in their investigation into a horrific punishment-style shooting which took place at Legnatraw St. Johnston on 1st May 2012.Garda

Between 10pm and 10.30pm, two men entered a house at Legnatraw and shot the male occupant who was 30 years old.

The injured man was taken to Letterkenny General Hospital for his injuries, which were not life threatening.

Gardai are hoping people will come forward with information which may progress the investigation, in particular anyone who was in the area at the time of the shooting and may have seen unusual or suspicious behaviour or anyone who may have information concerning the shooting.

A silver 4×4 was located at Moness, a townsland approximately one mile from the scene of the shooting shortly after the incident.

Anyone who may have any information in relation to the shooting, is asked to contact Gardai– in Letterkenny on 074-9167100, the Garda Confidential Line 1800-666-111 or any Garda Station
