Voice of Ireland star Shane McLaughlin will be the special guest at this Sunday’s Donegal Youth Council organised MUSIC FOR LIFE fundraising gig in the Greenroom Live in Letterkenny.Shane McLaughlin

Shane will perform alongside some of Donegal’s top upcoming young bands and solo artists at an all ages show in aid of Relay for Life Donegal.

The event, which has been fully co-ordinated by Donegal Youth Council Relay for Life Team Captain Nora Doherty and the rest of the Youth Councillors will also feature top young Donegal acts such as Jamaican Vampires, Donegal IYMA winners Solution, Phat Kiidz, Lauren Sheridan, X Factor hopeful Erin Laverty and many more.

Youth Councillor Nora Doherty, from Kilmacrennan explained “The whole Youth Council were really keen to put a team into Relay for Life this as we wanted to support such a great cause. The theme for fundraising this year is FUN so we will definitely be making sure this event is just that and we have a number of surprises on the night.”

The Bank Holiday Sunday date for the gig is also significant, as the Youth Council were keen to put an event on for young people on a night when there would be little else for them to do.

Nora says, “we chose the bank holiday Sunday as we felt this is a night when there would be nothing else open for young people in the county so we want young people to use this fun event as an opportunity to come along with friends, enjoy the best young talent the county has to offer while having fun in an alcohol free way and supporting a great cause.”

Doors open at 5.30pm for the gig on Sunday evening. Admission is €5 at the door with all proceeds going to Relay for Life Donegal.
