EXCLUSIVE: Gardai have arrested a man in connection with a series of glue attacks across Letterkenny.

More than 100 homes and cars have been damaged using glue in recent months.

Gardai are now questioning a man after he was caught “glue-handed” preparing for another spate of vandalism.

The man, who is in his 20s, was caught with gloves and glue.

He is currently being questioned at Letterkenny Garda station in connection with the series of attacks.

The arrest followed a tip-off from a woman whose car had been targeted in the spate of attacks.

Officers swooped at 6am and took the suspect for questioning.

Dozens of homes in the Ard O’Donnell, Convent Road and Ballymacool Terrace area were attacked as far back as last year.

Gardai are remaining tight-lipped about the arrest.

Another 16 year old was previously arrested but was released without charge after Gardai believed he was not directly involved with the crimes.

However officers say they hope to make any charges ‘stick’ this time.
