THE ST Eunan’s U-14 girls team is set to take part in the Féile Peile na nÓg 2013 which is being hosted in Derry and in Donegal from June 28-30.
Féile Peile na nÓg is a national festival of football for boys and girls under 14 years of age and is based on the GAA club unit.
Clubs from across Ireland will be hosted in the North West, with teams also travelling from Britain and the USA.
The three-day event will start with a match at O’Donnell Park on Friday June 28 when St Eunan’s play against the club they are hosting – West Clare Gaels.
Girls from the Clare club will be staying with the families of the St Eunan’s players in a festival of gaelic sport and culture which involves 25,000 young people every year.
A massive parade around Derry, from Celtic Park, will take place on Friday evening, followed by games on Saturday and Sunday.
Donegaldaily.com is helping to sponsor the St Eunan’s U-14 girls team jerseys for the tournament but more sponsors are needed.
If you can help in any way, contact Alma Kavanagh at the club.
