The Rosses Primary School Sports will be held in Carrickfinn on Friday May 17th starting at 10:30am.

A great night was had by all who attended the social night last Saturday in Leo’s Tavern. Thanks to Sinead Diver for orgainizing.

Our junior athletes travelled to the Finn Valley center on Tuesday evening last to participate in the Donegal Children’s games. We had some people getting placings and medals while other competed well and were content with how they performed. The competition was the first for many of our athletes and gave them some ideas of the events and where they are at as we head towards the Ulster’s in early June. On Saturday we travelled to Lifford to compete in the even and senior championships. Our senior athletes Aidan, Derek and Fiona won their chosen events with some of our younger athletes again returning medals also. With only two weeks left to Ulster’s it is important that all athletes get in an many training sessions as possible.

Donegal Athletics Board in conjunction with Athletics Ireland is holding a Child Protection Workshop on Friday 17th May from 6:30 – 10pm in the Finn Valley Centre. All volunteers working with children must do a child protection course every 3 years and be vetted by their club. If you are interested in doing this course please contact Sean McGinley or Ita Gallagher before 12th May.

Note: The Annagry 5k which is part of the Donegal Grand Prix will take place on Friday 24th May at 7:30pm. We are looking at changing the course to a flatter faster course.
