ryan dolanHE was rated in the top 10 by the bookies and his song is already in the Swedish charts, but Ryan Dolan finished last in the Eurovision Song Contest.

Denmark won the competition with the song Only Teardrops….with a tin whistle theme!

Ryan got just five points. Maybe it was because he sang last. Who knows?

But it didn’t seem right. He gave a stunning performance with his catchy song ‘Only Love Survives’ and it got a huge cheer from the live audience…including one fan (or relative) in a Donegal GAA jersey.

Emmelie de Forest topped the votes with 281 points.

“Unfortunately luck just wasn’t on our side tonight,” said Ryan.

“Obviously, it’s really disappointing, but I feel I gave it my best shot and I had an amazing team behind me every step of the way. It’s been a life-changing experience.”
