The young chick calls for its mother

Burtonport photographer and writer John Rafferty’s stunning nature pictures already enjoy iconic status around these parts.

But now his snapshots of life have been lauded by RTE’s Derek Mooney.

His wonderful portraits of a mature robin feedings it young chick was spoken about at length on the RTE radio show.

And the national broadcaster even put the stunning shots on its website for everyone to see.

So we thought we’d do the same and share them with everyone.
