HIGHLAND RADIO ISSUES STATEMENT ON CHARLIE COLLINS’ RESIGNATION

highlandradioHIGHLAND Radio has responded to the resignation of the ‘Voice of Highland’ Charlie Collins.

An unnamed company spokesperson said: “Charlie Collins has stepped down from his position as General Manager at Highland Radio after 22 years.

“In a statement this afternoon Mr Collins said the decision was a difficult and painfull one to make.

“Mr Collins says he is now considering his options and avenues open to him within the broadcast industry.

“Responding, the company owners said: ‘Highland Radio has with regret received the resignation of its manager Charlie Collins. Mr.Collins has made a valuable contribution to the station over its history. We wish to thank him and offer our best wishes to him in the future. An announcement on his replacement will be made soon.

“Highland Radio wishes to further announce that it is delighted to appoint Mr. Oisin Kelly, a familiar name and voice to Highland Radio listeners as the new Head of Sport.”
