A number of Polish people will man phonelines at Letterkenny Garda station this evening as RTE features a reconstruction of events surrounding the death of a man.

Murdered: Bogdan Michalkiewicz

A reconstruction of the events leading to the death of Bogdan Michalkiewicz will be aired on RTE’s Crimecall programme at 9.35pm tonight (Tues).

Inspector O’Donnell said a number of Polish people will man the phonelines both at the Crimecall Centre and at Letterkenny Garda station to coincide with tonight’s show.

He said he feels someone could still hold the key to help solving Bogdan’s murder, even though they may not realise it.

Bogdan was stabbed repeatedly at his apartment at Lower Main Street on May 13th.

“We have viewed hours of CCTV footage and seen dozens of people in the area at the time who have still not come forward.

“We are asking these people to watch the show and to come forward even if they feel they have nothing to tell us. Even the smallest of details could be vital to our investigation,” he said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the incident room at Letterkenny Garda Station on 074-9167170, the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
